    • The BHs are super well put together cars but they feel pretty dated now whereas the BPs don't feel outdated at all. Also the BH H6 is not the same as the BP one, it only has a single exhaust port on the heads, goes reasonably well but the proper 3.0 is way better.   We towed a 15ft boat around for quite a while with a BP Outback and it had no issue with it.   p.s. every Hyundai we've owned, or my friends have owned, has been a complete f***ing lemon. God knows why we were silly enough to buy a second one, I guess we thought the first one being a turd was just unlucky rather than them being systemically s***. My mate thought a diesel Santa Fe would make a good cheap tow rig, and it was, right up until the gearbox gave up on life just outside of Methven on a family roadtrip around the south island.
    • I did same sort of search for 'new' Family car that could tow and sadly, and Gladly! Settled for a 2011 Diesel Hyundai Santa Fe'   The best car I've owned so far! and I didn't even know it was Turbo until I pulled the Engine cover off...     Average $0.18 per km fuel cost + RUC's over 81x Refuels so far over 5x years of ownership
    • Hey everyone, had a account long time ago but cant seem to log in so have reregistered now, basically im looking to buy a cheap wagon to chuck the dog in the back and tow small 10ft caravan (<800KG) and occasional garden trailer etc ,  wondering what's people's experience with the H6 as a tow rig?  Thinking BH Lancaster / Gt30 or BP outback. I've had plenty of turbo wrx/b4/gt in my younger days but never towed with any of them.   Reviews on google has heaps of complaints about fuel economy but I had a BP 30r for a while and never thought it was overly bad on fuel?   I'm leaning more towards a BH Lancaster on price and that's what I'm more familiar with working on (had 5 be/bh over the years) and don't have the terrible dash issues like the bp.  Is the older gen H6 much inferior to the later for what I'm going to use it for? Or would I be much better going for the BP?   I have a company ute for daily duties and an American V8 as my toy so it's purely going to be taking the dog to the park and holidays with the caravan, what's your opinions ? Or any other suggestions?   😊 Thanks
    • Working on prototype 2 for shiftlight. Prototype 1 was a bench top proof of concept and was just wires with alligator clippers connecting everything. This one is fully cased with OBD2 connector, and buttons to activate wifi for settings and turn off display etc. There are 3 options on how to connect the display and sensor to the control box, and where the button(s) are. This one is 3 buttons in the back of the led bar.
    • All tested and working live plugged into my car.   DCCD with small lcd 3x7cm screen showing status similar to dash. Currently not fancy build, just obd2 cable with circuit board cable tied to it.   Can customise it to look like any aftermarket dash or OEM eg even animations. some ideas…
