What have you done to your car today?

Cusco brake master cylinder brace installed, removed bov for factory. much quieter but no crackles on decel pooooo.... tune could fix that hahahah

(yesterday) Brought new Air filter, spark plugs and headlight bulbs. Installed the filter and bulbs, will do the spark plugs next week when I can actually be bothered.

Installed new head unit and stealthed the rear usb; put in the slimline pioneer speakers i won from 4NR and they fit the doors without spacers- just needed new holes drilled. Then I fixed my rear window squirter- it squirts now.

successful day.

Oil change..penrite hpr 10/50..

Coolant change..3 years since last done..

Front brake pads..Remsa same as last set..Lasted for 4 or 5 playdays..

ohlins rear struts..Ex boon,ex legacy..Required spacers to be turned up to fit but all good..Same Jamex lowered springs refitted..Felt stable on bumpy road when tested..

And entered playday at Manfeild 23 May..One advantage of living in Palmy is 10 minute drive to track..

Wofs not due for another month but as I'll be going to woodbourne next month and unwarranted vehicles arent allowed into base very well dont want it to be sitting unwoffed for a bit. all was well except for a front left wheel bearing. Sorta expected it, been feeling a little funny. least I have heaps of time to sort it out before i go away.

Car reached a milestone today

New spark plugs. a lot easier than I thought. runs much smoother now.

1st purchase from partsouq. All for the v4 STi build. Still needing fuel rail adaptors.

Went to trackday, car ran pretty well mint except for a bit of powersteering fluid doing wees in the engine bay, and a slight leak from the coolant overflow. Oh and cracking rotor number 4 now. But besides that it held up well for its first trackday since blowing it up and crashing it a year ago, so much more of a positive day. Semi slicks are so hax.

Sounds good not sure about the challenge part tho wouldnt build it up that much.

First flying lap on semis slicks, seems they werent quite up to temp yet, whoops.

tightened up the k-brace, no clunks or creaks now yuss!!!! stuck on my gymkhana rims, just spent the last hour rebuilding a fresh rom image with the merpmod maps, few tinkerings and some 50 or so maps altered to bring the image up to the current spec tune which works well. hope to do some testing tonight / tomorrow to see how it goes. launch control set to 5500 rpm, shoild light up all 4. gymkhana monday should be fun

After getting a quote from repco for a wheel bearing kit @$191 i though screw you.

quoted genuine 82 for wheel bearing 30 for one seal 21 for the other $133 total. Much happier with that.

and its genuine too.

Emptied out all the water from my rear tail light when opening up the boot/tailgate (not sure which one for a wagon). Tonight will be to fit my new strut brace that has arrived!! and see if I can seal up the leak.

Aaaahh genuine bits... often cheeper than people expect

To seal leak acquire clear window silicone remove rear garnish let it dry out. Apply silicone to everything put garnish back on and put it back.

Oh yeah kiwi_fozze -nelson subaru dealership has all the cheap parts.
