v7 sti gbox fit in a v6 wrx??

What will it take to fit a v7 sti gbox in a wrx ra?? Do i need a r180 diff or will the r160 be fine??

Your current diff will likely be a 4.44; you will need a 3.9 for the 6 speed. Which also probably means hubs and axles for your particular car.

I say the diff ratio's (as mentioned above) are the more important issue

also there's 8bolt boxes & 4 bolt boxes (or something like that)

and you might get a picky wof guy getting anal about empty bolt holes... etc

You need cradle, driveshaft or gc auto shaft, same ratio diff, shifter assembly, cv stubs if later than v9ish? If using 6sp clutch you need fork, flywheel, starter.

If the list isnt much... How much better are they then the limited 5 speed box?? I hate doing 3200 rpm on 100kph

Also about 50kg heavier aren't they? $350 is ridiculous.

It was :-( i went back to it and was like damn hahahahahaha. I was searching for ages how to delete this thread. To excited when i saw 6 speed box and $350 lol

At least you didn't bid on it. I hope! I have done something similar, didn't read it fully and won the auction. Luckily it was only a strut brace and was only $20 and it did fit in the end. I read more carefully now
