Stolen Grey 98 Type R XO9914 Wellington

The car is insured... hopefully they don't decide not to cover me because I have modified the car.

All my tools are gone and not covered... brand new semi slicks won't be covered.

Damn it that sucks. I assume they broke into a garage (tools and spares involved)

Same thing happened 3 houses down from me last week except they didn't get the car 'cos it was up on stands.

Bastards :(

EDIT: Any distinctive tools to watch out for on Tardme and Facebook?

Sorry to hear, same thing happened to my type r in wellington but found it the next day,was yours parked out side?

No, parked in a garage on a very quiet street... no way to see in the garage, and no other garage broken into...

so it must have been planned.

That sucks. You've put so much work into that car

I know. loads of time and money... the insurance won't even cover what it's cost me in the last 12 months,

then there's every single tool I've bought in the last 10 years, none of which are covered by my car insurance

or house and contents.

Were semis on the car? Prob the easiest thing to trace on tm/fb.

No, in the boot and back seat. do you think they'd be dumb enough to put it on trademe without even changing the wheels?

Tyres themselves Im thinking. Doubt theyre going to throw them away. Even if they did someone would likely see them, grab them then try sell them. Not that many people selling semis round the place.

heh wont help but I know a workshop recently got ripped off, cops found them next day waiting for cash converters to open with the test tags still on the leads of all the tools

'they' can be pretty thick sometimes

FB is really the perfect fence. Cant search for things so they just go up for sale then are lost in the woodwork. Keep an eye on the buy/sell pages.

Was just doing that... doesn't help that I don't know exactly when it was stolen. Pretty sure it was after Tuesday morning,

but that's quite a head start if it's just going to be parted out and put on FB.

Shared it on a few FB enthusiast pages. But sad reality is if it was planned it could well be someone on those pages anyway. Very ****ty tbh.

But lets remember Joe got his Legacy back after it was seen being transported so who knows.

Any specific or specialist tools that we could keep an eye out for?

Most my tools were bought from Repco... so just mid range generic stuff.

I had a torque wrench taken... not particularly specific, but more so than general spanners.

Some spring compressors are gone... again only slightly specialist.

One of these nice yellow things with a big 18v lithium battery. http://ryobi.co.nz/18v-one-impact-wrench

It definitely seems to have been planned... but a confusing thing is that they also took a set of extremely **** wheels and tyres

that I was saving to destroy at a gravel autox... but left a pretty reasonable set of semi slicks on good wheels.

They also took a $120 supercrap generator... worthless second hand.

When my garage was being ripped off they went wall to wall taking everything. Wheels, 3 ton jack, 4ft boxing bag, intercoolers, panels and heaps of boxes of parts some which only had interior bits in them worth nothing. They hadnt got to the tools when they heard us coming and ran leaving everything over the fence at the deserted house next door.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
