Isn't the 'factory ground connection' also strapped to the engine via a large conductor bolted to the starter motor? Personally I would continue the negative battery line to that point. In the setup above, what was the voltage drop through the chassis during cranking?

Gets yourself an AGM racing battery and mount it on the rear strut... then it takes up no boot space.

I have one of the below batteries... it comes in a steel case which can be bolted to the car with a bit

of work.

Holy **** you paid 3x the going rate for that battery or that case is made of gold. Anyone else is keen on one ill sort you out.

Im talking about whats in the first link its not odyssey.

Anyway... my point was that these can be mounted out of the way in the boot (or practically anywhere) without losing a third of your boot space... and you don't need to seal them off from the cabin. Way more practical and yet you still get a nice big empty space in the engine bay.

It has been scrutineered many many times like that. Also, there is nothing at all in the LVVTA threshold document that suggests this needs a cert.

Hmm, petrol in the engine bay... could be dangerous... I wonder if it's safe to put the petrol in the engine... it could explode!

I wouldn't see it as being a problem... you have fuel lines and a huge ass fuel filter in there from the factory bay anyway?

bingo. already plenty of fuel lines running all over the place... and if I was to have a fire, I'd really prefer it to be in the engine bay, not the boot.

Will have a read and see if it stated anything in the LVVTA guide. Ive had a fire before and i definitely dont want another one

Seen the surge tank in the engine bay loads. Not a problem I would have thought.

I cant see anything in lorens pics but it sounds like the easy solution for a daily.

Yellow is the surge tanks.

Red is the fuel pump.

Blue is the stock fuel filter in the stock location.
