BE/BH factory satnav and climate replacement

Yep, refer to the OP. ;)

Now having said that I believe the display triggers from the Acc signal via CeNet. I played with my unit on the bench but have just sold it last week so can't confirm this any more.

When I get home I'll find out which pin it is; tying it to 12v might just get the thing to fire up.

Hey avgeek and others. I have this set up with screen ,tv tuner etc. Also happen to have CD-ROM so if anyone can recomend a burner program so I can whizz of some copies that'd be great. It wont even load up on my laptop.

My unit is like most, tempramental. When it goes its great, which is why I'd like to keep it in. But it seems to short out or something, usually when a turn on another 12v item.headlights, wipers. Any ideas to its problem. Its a pain in the a*se with no display. If I disconnect the battery for 10 or so minutes it resets and starts up again.Thought of putting a power switch in somewhere by the system so I could reset from in the car but really couldnt figure out the best way to do this.any replies appreciated.

Well whaddya know, it does work..

Just completed the swap back to the non-nav climate system and no dramas. Cheers avgeek for the writeup. Got the new bits from Rosco's along with some awesome service too. Those guys are keen to help for sure, highly recommend them :)

So now there's a nav/climate setup going real cheap if anyone needs the parts. Includes the DVD for the nav too..

Great to hear! I have to second your comments on Rosco's as well, those guys rock! That's where I got my plugs and dash parts. Jason in particular is really onto it.

Did you tell them what you were up to? I'd be curious to hear their response if you did.

Im actually not burning, i have origianl subaru discs that i am happy to 'lend' to poeple to get their system booted, and if they are wanting to copy that is their responsibility, i dont have the gear to copy them myself.

If they are after a disc for a A/M unit i may say that they can keep if they cant copy. Or if i have multiple copies i may not be fussed about getting it back.

Best thing to do if you need a disk is ask.......

Hey guys, so I just had a read of the thread but most of it when *woosh* over my head. But from what I gather it is possible to get the unit to work as a TV/Dvd reciever? Is there anywhere where I can get this done for me? (I don't want to try myself and mess the system up like I have in many other cars hurr) im on the North Shore in Auckland, any handy subi auto electricians around these parts? :):P

I was interested in the thread regarding the satnav cd. Did anyone work out how to copy it. I'd like a copy to be able to change the default setting to the climate control.

I'm in the same boat as rakiura. I've just bought an '02 Legacy and it has the 'Subaru FM Multiplex Hybrid Navigation System' which is stuck with a Japanese Error Message at all times. I'd be happy to have the whole system replaced but then I couldn't read what the A/C etc is set to. If I could just get past the error message so that I can leave it displaying the A/C settings then that would be awesome - but I need the DVD ROM or whatever to do that I think.

Does anyone have a copy of the DVD/CD so that I can get past the Japanese error? I'd be happy to purchase a copy off someone.

I read the original post about replacing the whole nav unit with the manual A/C fascia, which looked awesome - but way too complicated for me to do. I asked a stereo installer about doing it but they said it would be very expensive - and they didn't really seem to know how.

Hello! I made a change from the simple climate control system navigation on DVD, I like the look of this equipment. Replacement did although I do not own electrician, took printout pin

here in this thread above, thanks to the author. Climate works switches all modes, speed blower, cold \ hot and so on.

But there are some problems: 1) No display of air flow direction, the temperature outside, the temperature inside the trailers.

2) Do not translate into night mode backlight " Air conditioner display " Although the display in the Navigator becomes dark when the size,

and the buttons are lit as well. 3) remain unconnected one wire coming out of the navi, wire yellow with purple stripe. As found it to be connected

to the handbrake, but there is one pink wire, I do not know how to connect to it. If anyone can help me thank you very much! I live in Russia and I translated through Google Translator.

If badly written sorry, speak English poorly.

I just purchased a 02 legacy GT30 and the cd is missing so my climate control wont display at all. Its annoying and I really want to get it working. The OEM head units been removed and a Sony has been installed so i am not sure if this is part of the issues but the DVD from the satnav unit is missing for sure so i really need to get my hand on an image so i can try getting it working again.

Hi, nice info,

i have just just bought a 02 H6 and the Nav system doesn't turn on. I am happy to leave it in I'm just wondering if you knew why this would be. I have no fuses blown and the radio works fine. I was wondering if there is a fuse that may have blown behind the dash or in the actual unit. Any info to help with this issue would be great. Cheers

Picked up an A/C unit to do this to the legacy at some point - $19 from pick a part with loom. Pray to your soldering irons that this goes smoothly.

Long shot but anyone know of someone in the Canterbury region scraping a BH/BE with the 'black' interior trim?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
