GC8 intercooler spray kit

Could belong in the dumb question thread, but ...

Where is the factory intercooler water reservoir bottle normally located on a gc8 v4/5/6?

Considering this mod. I'd like to get the factory part, but have only seen one oem bottle on ebay, and nothing on trademe. Do most people just convert the rear windscreen pump from the main reservoir to spray on the intercooler??

I'd also also like the factory "i/c water spray button" ... where can i find one of these gems???

if you dont have the factory one then you will have the abs gear in the way since those models dont have abs. i just unplugged the rear wiper and redirected that pump to spray water. strongs can do the button, it was like 50$ i think so didnt bother.

my v3 is behind the drivers headlight sorta sharing space with the airbox

also depends if you want the "spray button" and/ or the "auto" button

my v3 RA only has the spray . eh push it and it sprays for like ten sec .

logans v3 sti RA has spray and auto

auto button clicks down and sprays it automatically based on a tps reading i believe

u could build the auto and manual controller from a kit for jaycar

or just manual it and have a push button

how bout this ? reservior will have to go somewhere creative tho

On my old V2 it was behind the drivers side headlight and the same on my V5....

And as posted above my V2 just had the switch for use when you want, but on my V5 it has both the auto and individual switches.

Here's a pic of the IC spray bottle in my V3 (blue top behind drivers side headlight).

I think it's pretty well established that it's behind the right headlight now.

Another option is to rig it to a temperature or boost switch if you're feeling a bit DIY
