V8 vs V8 STI Heads

Whats the differences in V8 wrx and sti heads? Obviously cams but both are avcs? Can obtain some cheapish avcs heads just want to know shim setup etc any downsides?

EJ205 heads vs EJ207 heads... known differences are... porting / flow, cc rating of the dish, valves, cams ect

I have a V7 WRX engine here, with solid buckets. So would assume both V8 and V8STI are solids.

Would also guess the V8 STI valve springs have a higher spring rate than the WRX?

Whats wrong with what he said? Answer seems short but spot on, the JDM 207 has big port heads.

Well he obviously doesnt know what the hell hes talking about because EJ205 applies to V5/6 as EJ207 and thats nothing like what Im talking about. Not spot on more like brush on. But if hes willing to back it up with credible evidence and show/tell Ill happily choke on a shiv. Until then Ill stand by what I said.

I just thought it needed more specific info but he had more than what I could have said

You asked what the differences were between v8 wrx heads and v8 wrx sti heads and those motors just so happen to be ej205 *wrx* and ej207 *sti* so unless i'm missing something here I told you the exact difference between those two heads.
