Heavier is hardly a concern. Actually think mines bar and plate so Im happy to fly that flag. Still ching and works well tho. Might test pressure drop across the piping/cooler sometime if I can be arsed just means pulling the loom apart to wire in the other map sensor as I don't trust my gauge.

You could fit a WAIC. After all, The cooler the air the higher the Hp, Duration of required high Hp is the real consideration. This must also be calculated against heat transfer efficiency and recovery period duration as well obviously.

20- 30 seconds of WOT and sustained 270+ Kw will sure as get you Mooovin!!(In any gear!)

sorry answered that on my phone no good for typing

More efficient in rejecting heat and better cooling but not better flowing than tube and fin

sturdier and stronger than tube and fin

but bad for airflow to radiators or whatever is placed behind it

usually weighs twice as much as a tube and fin

and usually cost more

I'm running a Chinese 600x300x76 intercooler and I'm at 300kw at this stage, does the job but if you got money to spend, you're better off getting a branded one.
