running rough v3/4 conversion

ive also double check and used multimeter totrace my ign 1 and 2 from ecu to igniter and my red and blue wires from igniter to coil everything is as it should be and showing to be in the right place

Pull the drivers side plugs out, fit them into the passenger side leads and earth them onto the block while someone turns it over. To make sure the plugs are ok.

Then pull both drivers side leads off, fit them onto the passenger side and do the same test. To see if the leads are ok.

ok will try that just wondering if its none of the above could the motor be buggerd?

If there is fuel and spark but still running rough, then it's time for a compression test.

when i pull leads off all of them have spark coming out of them if that helps and im sure my injectors are fine what are symptoms of bad injecotrs? can spark plugs really cause a car to run on 3?

Pull the spark plugs out one at a time, connect them up and earth them onto the block. Should be a good strong blue spark. Plugs can definitely cause it to drop a cylinder or more.

Once you are sure there is spark at all four cylinders, then check for fuel/injectors etc.

ok thanks rossub il do that first and eliminate that

sparkplugs are near new and leads are all a ok. lol i cleaned the sparkplugs up anyways. so i did try pulling the injector plugs only on the drivers side and it made no differnce to the running

Did you test the spark plugs for spark?

Pulling an injector plug will have no effect if there is no spark.

yup it did spark i had to lay it on the manifold and peak through a small gap between bonnet. from what i could see it was sparking

wsa kinda hard to see will double check tomorrow and get someone to give me a hand

Sweet, when you check the plugs tomorrow hold them vertical with only the plug tip touching the block. The lead could arc past the plug with them lying flat.

Can I hold the lead when doing it and where in block would be good spot

You can get a shock, use insulated pliers/rubber gloves or wrap a dry rag around your hand. Anywhere on the engine should be ok, manifold/heads/block.

Ok sweet just tryna avoid getting shocked haha

Also during test drive it would hesitate sometimes then boost clean was quite spluttery. And on decel it would sound like it was running on all 4 at higher revs . Quite boggy down low but would pick up and boost then spit and hesitate . Definitely feels like spark or fuel . Frustrating

also checked my 12v feed to coilpack and its coming off the same 12v as what my IACV is getting

What colour are the injector plug wires on the drivers side? Both cylinders.

also does it matter what length leads go to which cylinder? as long as they all plug up and reach properly?

Driver back injector yellow - blue and red stripe front is yellow - black red stripe

Weak spark is no good, are there any hairline cracks in the coil pack?

Edit: I've got a good set of plugs here I can send you, probably best to get some different leads/coil pack. Maybe a compression check before spending any money on it?

so just a wee update. I got sick of trying to diagnose it and search for the issue so i bought another car minus turbo. I bought back my old wagon converted from twin to single for the motor as i know it was defintely a good one and a much better motor in general. dropped it in last night plumbed evreything back up again amd boom issue was gone... im figuring the motor was abit buggered
