I have a 10mm EJ208 Oil Pump that\'s done 214,000kms. I have a Rebuilt Version 7 EJ207 Block and Version 6 STI Heads.

I priced a new Genuine Replacement today through Subaru:

10mm Oil Pump - 15010AA300 - $377 + GST

$T2eC16hHJFoE9nh6qSZ1BP4rQ-qgtQ~~60_57.J

12mm Oil Pump - 15010AA310

11mm Oil Pump - 15010AA360

Oil Seal - 806733030

O-Ring - 10991AA001

Some threads on upgrading OEM Pumps and why not to:

With an EJ207 STI with Version 6 STI Heads (non AVCS), I\'m still thinking I\'ll stick with the 10mm Pump? ???

What are others using? For what set up? How\'s your Oil Pressure at Idle/Redline?

12mm pump is way cheaper. We use that in rally car. Idle hot is 30psi. 78-85psi from 5-7000 rpm

Is that with a Double Cross Drilled Crank/VVT-AVCS?

My OEM EJ208 Oil Pressure Specs are:

98 kPa (1.0 kg/cm2, 14 psi) or more at 800

rpm

294 kPa (3.0 kg/cm2, 43 psi) or more at

5,000 rpm

AFAIK, the 12mm Pump will max at 85psi because that is the Relief Valves PSI level. So your pump is maxing oil flow at 5000rpm, then Bypassing Oil above that.

So with my Low Pressure Specs with the 10mm Pump, (I think Relief/Bypass is early 70psi?).

If I fit the 12mm Pump, my Oil will flow so fast it wont cool properly. Which will effect Oil Heat Viscosity/Engine Life etc?

10mm pump is all we\'ve ever used, some say on factory clearances a 12mm pump is unessessary and can heat or aerate the oil. I check the torque of the screws on the back cover, and dot punch the screws slightly to help prevent them coming loose.

And $377 plus for a 10mm pump? Yikes.

Interesting, the 10mm Pump also rums relief at 85psi, 11mm Pump 78psi:

From this original thread, covering Oil Viscosity/Flow Rates/PSI per RPM etc:

Edit: See the Main difference between the 10mm and 12mm Pump, is evident at 6000rpm PSI. The 12mm pump PSI is double the 10mm Pump.

For a non competition engine with normal clearances a 10mm pump is perfectly adequate imho. If you are looking for a little more pressure you can shim the relief valve.

I have used a 12mm pump in two competition engines with oil squrters, AVCS, larger bearing clearances and a 23 row oil cooler and never had any problems with oil temps or bearing failures.

After reading those threads, I\'m beginning to think I should have gone 11mm at the largest and changed out the oil pick up for aftermarket item.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
