Just had my car run on the dyno after TD04 -> TD05 and 3B ECU -> Z4 ECU.

AFR's seem to be around 12.6 up high, is this normal? or do I need to possibly have injectors looked at or something?

Yes the boost is really lazy. I didn't pretention my wastegate

The afr is fkn weird the whole way across, it's sitting at upwards of 15:1 even with quite a bit of boost on board and full throttle midrange

Yeah something's off, but it's more likely a metering issue than a bad pump/inj issue, if it was either of them falling over you'd see rich down low and leaning off as they ran out of flow

Yours is just mental, is it the right AFM?

Mental? yeah stock AFM.

he was using a tailpipe AFR thing, and my car does have a cat convertor still.

I wouldn't think an exhaust leak would cause this?

I have just been in contact with xtreme tuning (saw an ad on facebook). I asked what they could do for my 1998 BH9 2.5 N/A engine. They have come back saying they can bump the HP by 20 and Tq by 50. The price for this is $850. This is without any engine/exhaust/intake mods. The question is would it be worth it and how noticeable would the changes be. I was under the impression that you couldn't do anything to the ECU. I can post the full email if anyones interested.

I have to agree with Marky here. If you really want more power then get a GTB. They are pretty affordable these days and will put a good smile on your face. Better handling, more power and just nicer on the inside in most cases. If you can afford it get a post facelift (2001 onwards)

As I said before Im happy with the car, more curious about it. Wouldn't mind a bumping the torque though, not really worried about the HP side of things, I know having a N/A 2.5 is never going to be a power monster or readily up-gradable. Will be looking at a fourth Gen for the next family wagon.

If you are looking to just give it a tune then I would probably not go with XRT. I know people from the Aussie forums that have used him and then retuned afterwards with better results. Personally I can't speak highly enough of Matt Mcleod. He is Kido_tuning on the aussie forums and Throttlehappy on the US forums. He is reasonably priced @ $400 and does free retunes for the life of the car in case you ever do any mods to the car. He is in Christchurch on the 24th and 25th of October so he could do a road tune for you. He only comes to NZ very rarely.

Is he coming to Auckland as well? Can you PM me some details please. I might be interested in a tune. Cheers

Yes he's in Auckland too from the 22nd to the 24th of October. We are looking at booking a dyno for the day on Friday the 23rd for those that want it. Let me know if you want book in some time and I'll get him in touch with you

Edit: Here are the actual dates

Auckland: 22nd, 23rd, 24th

Wellington: 24th/25th

Christchurch: 25th/26th

Could be keen to see what he can get out of mine on a dyno.

Thinking about doing a bit of a custom home hack up of my downpipe to open The wastegate area a bit.

In stock downpipes is it the cats that are the biggest restriction or the blank plate over the wastegate?

Think I've already got my name down for a tune from him, contacted through the Facebook page. Got some servicing work to do on the car first though, and possibly some extractors ;-)

I'd have a crack at it myself, but being post facelift, there is a very limited definition file available that consists basically of ignition and fueling maps, no avcs or anything like that

Resurrecting my old posts, cheers evowrx for the info.

At EH motors at the moment, Bloch Dom 1.5 twin scroll, id1000s,pump, 3" exhaust now catted :(, big fmic.

I'd love to hear some speculations on power :D (2008 grb ej207) getting dyno tune next week.

No hate for the overpriced turbo please :) (and 3 port ebcs)

270kw on pump is quite normal for 1.5XTRs at ~23psi. I would love to see the dyno plot and boost plot once it is tuned. Best street setup in my opinion for ej207s and stock location turbo.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
