I think you might be on to something Ross we now have 10psi on primary but I haven't managed to get on a long enough run to check secondary yet but it's holding boost now on primary so we're getting there and there's bedn no cel since I replaced the black box yay thanks mate

Out of curiosity what is the rev range for boost on both turbos plz

Primary turbo until about 4000-4250rpm then changes into twin until redline. Then switches back to single when revs get below the 4000-4250 mark again.

Can be adjusted with a zerosports sequential controller.

Happy confused and pissed at the same time today I had Time to take the car for a proper run down the motorway. To check boost I found that car pulled well with 10 psi on primary but I keep winding it out thought the rev range fourth fifth a holding my foot into it the cars flying but it's still only saying 10 psi boost how can that be

Is it changing into secondary at all?

Now you say that I tried on the way to work this morning and even though it's reving I can't notice the secondary kicking in bugger

Where is your boost gauge T'd into? Boost should drop off at about 4250rpm then rise again as the secondary kicks in.

Now that you've changed the BBOD. Put it into test mode again and check the ECV and intake valve are opening and closing.

Is the 10psi boost dropping off between 4-4500rpm, then coming back on?

That I haven't noticed ?

Sweet, that's when it's changing into twin mode. At least it's all working properly now.

10psi is a bit low, how's the air filter look? Might be time for a new one, or at least give it a blast out with a compressor. Could also be slightly blocked cat's/restricted exhaust.

Look into Marky's hose 10 mod, sometimes gives an extra 1-2psi:

No that wont give any trouble at all.

No. But the extra flow will cause boost spikes, so you will need an aftermarket boost controller (MBC/EBC).

Could get the cats tested, but probably cheaper to just rip them out. Especially if you can do it yourself.

Hi Ross I've replaced the front pipes checked the turbo again it seems to have pull on secondary but still not really showing any boost increase so not really sure what else it could be what about cleaning solenoids etc could this be the go ????

My car only did 10-11 psi when it was standard. I have downpipes & exhaust, intercooler, boost controller and tune and I am running 15-19psi now.

If you want more boost just chuck a bleed valve on it, the psi these thing run seems to be a random figure between 10 and 18psi stock so don't get worried if yours isn't what some other guys' is. Whip the cats out, I've done it to a couple and never had an issue

You should be able to hear the changeover, like it is very apparent in sound difference between single and twin

Would these codes cause the car to crank over and want to start but not kick into life?
