help: 1 indicator ticking faster then the other??

my right indicator seems to be ticking a lot faster then the left 1. does any1 know why this is happens? it's like the thing is spastic!

Generally that's because something has buggered out. I know that when the indicator bulb in the hilux was out on one side the other side was a lot faster- are both lights working?

Are both the indicators working on the side that is flicking faster....If not then means you have blown a bulb, so just replace it and BAM you back to normal ticking goodness.

LMAO it turns out that the rear bulb has somehow fallen out of it's socket??? wouldn even have guess/notice it if u haven mentioned it! lol owell i will fix it once i get those tail lights from u funky thanks evy1

The indicator ticking fast is designed to make you think something is wrong and its not just everyone cutting you off and giving you the fingers. ;D

I think you will find with all modern Japanese cars if one bulb blows that side will tick twice as fast because the relay has one less bulb to power.

My celica had a 'blown bulb' light on the dash, but left it up to you to find which one it was. Was handy because it told you about brake lights too I guess

does anyone know where i can find a wiring diagram for the front indicators and the whole rear end??? i have the same prob, have changed the bulbs but neither of them work?? oh its an 89 RS btw

the headlights work and the drivers side indicator works, i think its wiring somewhere, it was all working fine before a moulded body kit was added, now i have no stop lights, and passengers side front indicator, everything else works fine

Probably missing an earth point.Could be corrosion or broken wire.

This might sound funny but my rex was doing that except it was the left indicator that was blinking fast . I checked all my earthing points, cleaned and sanded where the bulb sits still to no avail, until I noticed in a mirror when reversing my reverse bulbs was out. Changed that and now my indicators work fine lol.
