Dumb Question Thread!

My front sway bar drop links seem to be a little loose and wobbly, Im assuming they are supposed to be nice and tight. Is there any where cheap to get replacement ones (I have looked at Subaru Speed but they don't have any at the moment and Trademe doesn't either). Would it be advisable to get a set from pickapart ($30 pair) and then save up for a good pair? and where is the best place/brand to get. Its all standard at the moment, but with plans in the future to lower it.

Also can I use Impreza ones on a legacy?

Go see Dave at SAS on Gasson St. He will sort you out.

Very different indeed.

You can get those Jamex kits pretty cheap off trademe.

Had a friend with some in his BE; handled well and sat nice too.

Thanks for the pic, that explains it clearly. Will keep an eye out for some jamex kits. But might be a wee while off now, as dog needs to go the the vet!!!

Have you checked Subaruspeed? They have a few options in stock, complete sets of Bilsteins + lowering springs. Is your 250T equipped with Bilstein struts?

Yaeh I keep an eye out for anything going cheap. Yes I do have Bilsteins, looking to lower the car a little but not ruin the ride as is the family wagon.

I have Cobra springs in my WRX. Locally made, they've been surprisingly nice and not too stiff. Even for our crap roads.

+1 for Cobra springs. Ive had several lowering sets of these on previous cars. Great service from the CHCH company and absolutely no sagging from the springs after a bit of time at all and great ride.

looking at going twisted turbo does anyone have pics of their twisted upipe? where on the upipe is best place to put a wastegate flange considering having the upipe twisted keeping in mind it will be plumbed back in.

and where would i get a standard vf/td exhaust flange ?

Ive built 3 and bought 1 twisted setups. Hands down the easiest way is buying 2x inlet flanges from kinugawa and building an adaptor roughly 100mm high including flanges.

I seriously wouldn't if its not getting a decent turbo with ecu as people overseas are making bigger numbers than most sub in nz in stock location. Better just getting an uppipe with no flexi.

I may have some pics in garage thread but its really easy to tack it up in place doing it the adaptor way.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
