Dumb Question Thread!

Should be fine its pro wholesale hes not dsrturbos.co.nz. i think if your intake is sucking in you should look at your filter first. Chances are its restrictive and can flow less than youre trying to suck thro it. Chances of that are slim on a vf.

Would those large top facing nipples make installing it without removing the intake manifold impossible?

On the assumption i would have the remove the manifold i guess i will just risk it and hope the stocker doesn't break...

Has anyone got any experiences with RHDJapan?

Any good?

Yep, recently ordered my Trust up pipe from them and it arrived in 3 working days!

If items are not in stock then they have to get it shipped from another warehouse so will add a few more days on top of that.

If ones GTB Legacy has the Applied Model code of BH5C5CD, then that would mean its a Rev C, and the ECU is not able to be reflashed yah?

Pretty sure that the C after the BH5 is the revision number, so yes you would be right - not reflashable

In the highlighted red is a wee joiner in the hose that goes to a T piece which conneted to the wastegate and the inlet of the turbo. Could I replace the joiner with a T piece and then hook it up to a boost gauge?

Au contra ire my friend, I have it on good authority that they can be and they can be done by a NZ company. The problem, as it usually is, is having lots of the foldy stuff. What are you wanting to achieve? If VOD reduction you should TRY and get your hands on a ZeroSports Sequential Controller which will allow you to alter when primary boots in and when secondary will kick in (within reason lol ) Be warned though, rather hard to come by these now ( I have one but can't afford install atm ;) )

Easy to install.

When I sold mine a month ago there were two others floating about for sale on the subaru parts page (facebook).

I had trouble getting the $200 I wanted and eventually just sold it to a mate cheap.

Installs easy if you have the wiring diagram which most probably don't. Here it is if you haven't already found it

IMHO they don't do that much to the VOD. It was only really good for moving it further up the rev range which made it slightly smaller and out of a region that could be shifted into. The vacuum line mods marky and rosssub came up with are far better and cost virtually nothing.

I do know they can be done, I think it requires changing the chip, or otherwise hacking internals in the computer rather than plugging in a laptop.

The downpipes and cats on mine are rather haggard, so when they finally die I will upgrade them to something better, along with a couple of other things, which will require a tune of some sort.

There is a ZS controller on tardeme at the moment, however I don't have the $280 the guy is asking, which I think is to much anyway.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
