  1. So does this mean we all need to get out into the shed and finish off those subbie projects that forum time takes up
  2. a picture says a thousand words, a hundred pictures leaves me speechless......... WOW
  3. nice and tidy, would love to go for a drive in that
  4. it was a good night, cheers Dan and Blair, hopefully next time I will have a car of some sort there
  5. no nipple for vaccum hose Hahaha they said nipple got mine today as well, thanks Scarles
  6. try this as well www.gumtree.com.au make sure you load in Perth WA and jobs.
  7. Perth is huge, WA is massive, once there get the West Australian newspaper, jobs packed inside, been a while since being there but the jobs used to be structured with big ticket (professional) jobs front and all others to the back. I found they never rung my NZ references. Mining jobs are FIFO (fly in fly out), and that varies from one site to the next, could be any where between 2 - 6 weeks on and 1-2 weeks off also try these websites http://www.jobfinder.com.au/ http://www.careerone.com.au/ If I can think of any more will post them up for you Gumtree is one of the free papers, that has jobs, but not sure if the line of work you are looking for would be posted in there, but good for rental homes, cars and what have you. get the road map book UBD maps, this is better then the GPS as the signal can get lost inside Perth city Perth is really nice so when you get time jump on the trains and get out and see it, once settled head deep south and check out the towns like Margaret River and the likes. Beeches are nice for swimming but the sand can get very hot (careful a couple are nudist beeches and some are dog/horse beeches), you do have to pay for the water you use ( no biggie but if you wanted a nice green lawn it will cost you). 40+ degree days can happen in a row, night life is awesome, you can drive around on your New Zealand licence for one year before getting you WA licence, but if you have your full drivers licence you only have to sit the written, if you pass then you get your full licence. Good luck with your move and enjoy Perth.
  8. isnt it funny when someone tries to do something nice for the club and all people can do is hate on them, sometimes makes me wonder why we get good deals though the club from sponsers when certain people gotta hate all the time, is life really that bad for you......
  9. Great idea but wont you fail a WOF now the rear wiper and water sparyer isnt working isnt working?
  10. Can you get the car to Napier? if so can do you a good deal on painting your car.
  11. Oh forgot to add, don\'t get the catalyst on you or in your eyes, that stuff will make you blind in 20 seconds, will stop hair from growing for years, very dangerous to use, can start a fire if the temps are right. It dosnt need a spark to ignite. After all that it is easy to do so go ahead and give it a go.
  12. Always repaired from behind, no the front, if you want to do it properly, grind the backside until it is thin on the edges and all cracked and busted old glass is gone, you do t have to remove all, but an old crack will bite you later, rough up surrounding areas with grinder and a sanding disk on it. Always glass to a prepped surface. Now realign bumper and hold In place with packaging tape, wider the better, as tight and as straight as you can, you can glass straight to the tape, when its dry you can pull the tape right off. Sand outside surface, then bog it back to shape, etch prime, build coat with a sandable primer, make sure at this point something around the 240 wet and dry to remove all deep scratches, top coat. Mixing resien follow instructions to the tea, use a brush, make sure you push all air out, start out in small amounts until you get use to it, open space is a must, And last thing is when icthy, have a really hot shower until it stops stinging, it\'s the only way to get the fibres out of your pores, also have a go it is fun and easy once you get going. And if you get into trouble give me a yell, will happily help out where I can .
  13. Go to a paint shop and buy some black etch primer in a can, slowly paint the if fins from all directions until covered, let it dry between these coats, etch primer is the o my paint that well bond to alloy, all others will fall off over time. If you want to top coat and you have access to a spray gun and compresser than top coat with a 2k black, no clear coat, if the last bit sounds to much then just paint with the etch primer.
  14. Excellent write up and well said, don\'t need flash stuff to put a grin on the face, have track the standard twin turbo auto legacy family sedan a couple of times, only making sure stuff works and keeping within the general service of 5000ks, and really really cheap tyres on the car, wife even done a few laps and had a smile for days. And the car lived every time.
