  1. problem is fixed now fingers crossed. the idle air control valve that they replaced happened to be the wrong one for the car. something about silver sticker vs blue sticker. couldve saved a few weeks labour for them and them paying for a auto sparky. Cheers all
  2. the car revs smoothly while it does its hunting start. Thanks Ill will suggest that they look at the fuel pressures. is there a sensor on these so that the ecu does see the pressure?
  3. yeah i havent paid a cent for any work. it started doing it a couple days after getting it. Its a really good car otherwise so torn on deciding what to do. hense the post here incase something has been overlooked
  4. Hi all Car: 1999 impreza srx hatch Manual 119xxxkms stock standard brought from dealer with 3 month warranty Problem: First Cold start fast hunting from 700rpm to 2000rpm does this about 4 times them settles to normal idle. Car runs perfect other than this problem Car has had the following done by crowesport and advantage auto electrical Cleaned tb and iacv tried a known good iacv valve cleaned the afm tried a known good afm new coolant temp sensor Checked for vaccumm leaks swapped ecus all wiring and conectors checked. a efi relay was replaced (slightly low voltage) All sensors parts etc appear to be working correctly when the have their monitors plugged in Still no change on cold starts after 3 weeks at the above shops. Car does run tgv on the intake runners straight after the tb Anyone struck this issues before and it not been the normal parts causing the issue? At the point of wondering if should ask for my money back but the car runs great other than this problem hope someone can help. Thanks
  5. have you put in the required parts yet? if not then i'm sure that's why it says its not active
  6. I also have done this. only thing that doesnt work is the cruise control lights but all control functions of the cruise control works
  7. yeah facelift models need 5th digit. is handy feature when keys to far away
  8. usually anything under 50ma or 0.05a is normal. car alarms will raise it as well.
  9. how much milliamps is being pulled while the car is off?
  10. yes led in cluster. shining torch on cluster where lights are meant to be shows no wording at all so cant even pull cluster to pieces and fit the leds http://clubsub.org.nz/forum/showthread.php?42250-Fitting-cruise-control&highlight=cruise+control
  11. beeping on cold mornings is prob the ice warning. mine does it when we have a frost. comes on when temp dorps to 3 degrees or lower. beeps with door open, no seat belt, handbrake on when moving. also beeps low fuel. annoyingly you can set time, date etc in the facelift clusters but noway to have it show the time (seen mine has factory nav which they used to display the time). Same boat with the cruise control. it works but no cluster lights and cant fit them.
  12. be quite good to be able to get a list of the features that can be turned on and off either diy or through the subaru monitor system
