  1. Hey all, Bit stuck at the moment, looking at options to replace my 2010 outback with over 200k on it. Currently looking at a 2010-2014 legacy gt 2.5l or Fa series dit wagon as something thats a bit more exciting to drive. Does anyone have any info on the dit models as it seems to be limited, or all in Japanese! Also, will be doing about 20,000ish km per year with 90% on the open road so if anyone has any real world fuel economy/reliability on these engine and trans setups that would be appreciated! - Are there tunes out there to get them any more efficient with a slight power gain? Cheers
  2. yep you're right, ive done some more checking and the shudder/vibrations are definitely more noticeable when reversing so wheel weights are out of the question, could be a clutch/driveline issue?
  3. Hey guys, Ive searched but had no luck finding a solution so, Recently after driving a few gravel roads, my outbacks developed a very harsh shake that comes from what feels like the back right wheel and i have no idea what it could be. It only happens at very low speeds when say moving forward in traffic or reversing but it seems odd that the whole rear end shakes especially after just having new rear bearings fitted. No wheel weights appear to have fallen off but will get check when local tyre shop opens on monday. Anyone know what this could be? Cheers
  4. Cheers for the info guys, I've also been looking at the goodyear tripletreads as they come in the same size as my current tires. Anyone know what they're like for all surface use?
  5. Heres mine after a quick trip out to lake Lyndon and lake Pearson last week..
  6. Hey guys I've recently purchased a 2004 ll bean edition outback and am hoping to use it as my ski wagon throughout the winter as well as normal driving. Ive got a few questions, The tires it currently has are some older yokohamas with about 2.5mm tread on them and so i am looking to upgrade these before the ski season starts with some more all weather tires. What options do i have here without having to change wheel size? I have been looking at the geolander a/t which are a slightly different size to my current tires which are 215/55 R17. Also with the club fields in the canterbury region have worse roads compared to field such as coronet, how likely is it that i will need to use a set of chains as i would imagine this will also affect what size tires i get due to clearance issues. sorry for the long first post Cheers Bryan
