yeah that bracket, definitely wont come off with the bumper on

yeah ive undone all the bolts including the one way up the front but its still getting stuck, think ill remove the bumper then actually cut it in half given taking off the bumper will expose it enough

cheers man, I'll have another go at it when the ground's not so wet. Usually when I pull things apart they tend not to go back the same way so hopefully this wont go pear shaped

Hi there Not long ago the plastic inner guard got ripped off my car(WRX STi Version 5) and exposed my intake silencer in the guard, I then decided that it would be a good wee DIY to remove it. I researched into it a bit and didnt find much info on it regarding a GC8 but still decided to have a crack at it. It was similar too the tutorials i seen and found for the GD WRX, the bolt locations were pretty much in the same place and the "snorkus" was freed but I couldnt pull it down, even with a friend pushing it from the top it kept getting caught on some sort of bumper support. I can pull it down so far but the part that joins to the air box and air ram gets caught on that support, The only viable option now is too remove the bumper and guard too successfully take it out, or just leave it in because its not worth the fuss. Thought's or advice anybody?
