  1. Hi, does anyone know if the crownwheel and pinion from a Nissan R180 (280zx etc.) can be used without issue in a Subaru R180 diff? I realise the R180 is effectively a Nissan unit, but from what I can make out there may be some discrepancies in bolt sizing and compatibility? I have a Subaru R180 plate lsd and am trying to achieve a 3.54 ratio (its a RWD club car), and sourcing this ratio in Subaru r180 is proving a bit tricky - Nissan diffs in lower ratios are a bit easier to get hold of though - hence the question. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated, or if someone wants to sell me a 3.54 ratio R180 even better
  2. No worries, will strip them down and have a look, really need to use gc8 ales so will see what I can come up with.
  3. Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but the project is back on and I need a bit more information (again!). I've got 2 R160 diffs, one is a plate LSD diff I bought years ago (legacy i think? the one with the stub axles), the other is a diff from a gc8. I want to use the LSD, but with my existing gc8 axles etc. Heres a couple of picture of the diffs: http://imgur.com/tMhwo6K http://imgur.com/M3BhLKL Can I remove those stubs and run my standard gc8 axles with that diff? I'm changing ratios so is it possible that I could take the LSD head out and put it in to the gc8 housing and make a bastard child out of the two? Not sure how interchangeable everything is, if at all. Cheers.
  4. Hi all, this could end up being a stupid question, but what are the differences between subaru R160 diffs? Are they different legacy to wrx? And are axles diffrerent at all? Not too fussed about ratios, just need some info for a project. Cheers!

Gidday all, just wondering if someone with a GC8 wrx can do me a small favour and measure the distance from the centre of the rear sway bar forward to the backside of the rear subframe: doesn\'t have to be super accurate! I realise that is a bit confusing, basically just wanting to know (roughly) the gap between rear sway bar and subframe. Thanks!
  8. Hi all, I\'ve had a quick search and cant find an answer, does anyone have is the overall wheel travel (full droop to full compression) of a standard GC8 WRX: both front and rear? Cheers.
  9. Cheers, the castor geometry is what I'm really after, I see the whiteline kit offers a .5 degree increase over standard, I'm just wanting to know what standard castor actually is.
