  1. hey, had a search but couldnt find anything. what should the normal operating water temp be for a v7 sti? or what temperature do other peoples run at? cheers
  2. I had same problem throwing check light, got brand new one put in and has been fine since
  3. Manage to get to the bottom of this? My v7 Sti got a little warm on Friday while I was going away for the weekend. Was while I was going up a hill slowly behind a truck, defi water temp gauge went up to 100 degrees. Factory cluster water temp gauge didn't move from halfway. Radiator is a redline Ali one just over a year old and had cambelt water pump and thermostat done at winger few thousand km ago. It put a little bit of water in the reservior and was still fill in the filler tank. Going to get a new factory sti radiator cap and see if that will help. What is the normal operating temperature?
  4. i checked the 2 plugs by the boost solenoid and they were all clean and no oil in it. i take it the cam angle sensors are hard to get to? i had a quick look but wasnt to sure it was
  5. i think p0340 which the code was is the drivers side, so would just be in the same position on the other side?
  6. now for the stupid question where is the cam sensor lol
  7. Opps stupid phone predictive. Meant to say cam position sensor
  8. Spoon was right 0340 crank sensor. Major problem is it?
  9. Going to take it to a.mate to scan tonight. But ill check the record on the boost gauge to just checked the peak recall on the defi and came up with around 1.55, so think theres the problem
  10. hmm might take it to get scanned and see what it comes up with, cause that would mean its nothing at all to do with the injector.
  11. yeah used the flashing cel. thats what i was thinking it might have been a previous code, cause thought it would only show if it was still on. Is the only way of clearing it by scan tool? maybe i get it cleared and if it does happen again check it
  12. checked the number 2 injector plug and looked alright, gave it a bit of a clean. so will see how it goes
  13. Ill fill it up with 98 and see how it goes. But unlikely from running the 95 you say spoon?
  14. Yup didn\'t want to but had to put some 95 in after the desert road.
  15. I just brought a v7 2000 sti on the weekend and drove it back from Wellington to Auckland all fine. Then yesterday gave it a bit of s*** coming onto the motorway and noticed the check engine light flash on then straight off. Check it once I got home and was code 15, number 2 injector. Had a search around but can\'t find much about this code only about misfires same thing is it? Or is it faulty injector?
